How to reach

By car
Coming from Istanbul there are four possibilities to cross the Canakkale strait:

* Gelibolu - Lapseki (Gestas)
* Candarli - Lapseki (Small private boats)
* Eceabat - Canakkale (Gestas)
* Kilitbahir - Canakkale (Small private boats)
  
Gestas crosses the strait every hour, which takes half an hour. The small private boats cross the strait when they are full. After crossing the strait it takes approximately an hour to reach Assos via Ezine.
Istanbul - Assos: 6-7 hours, Izmir - Assos: 3-4 hours.

By bus
There are no direct bus lines from the big cities to Assos. One can reach Assos by taking a bus of Truva, Kamil Koc or Varan to either Ayvacik, Kucukkuyu, or Altinoluk from where there are mini buses who drive to Assos on an hourly basis. If you would prefer, you could choose for a taxi instead of the mini buses.
Ayvacik - Assos: 17 km, Kucukkuyu - Assos: 60 km

By plane
From Istanbul planes depart for both Canakkale and Edremit from where one can reach Assos by mini buses or taxi.
